For the motor for the Tablet Press we looked for a supplier that had a name for quality. Motor available in 110v or 220v for the Europe or the USA. Supplied in single phase we are also able to supply this motor or indeed the press at special request in 3 phase.

We have picked a 4 pole, 1 horsepower motor with a strong starter cap for immediate starting torque to get your press instantly up to speed.

Before removing this part it is wise to turn off and unplug your machine as well as loosen the bolts on the Motor Support Arm to remove the tension from the V-Belt.

Firstly, unplug the machine and allow the capacitors a moment to discharge before you open up the motor to unwire it. 

Open the box on the side of the motor. For ease take a photo of the wiring configuration inside so that you can wire the new motor easily. Remove all of the wires from there current fittings by loosing the screws on the top.

Next unscrew the old motor from the bace by undoing the 4 bolts and nuts that hold it in position. This will release the old motor from the base.

Next you will need to remove the pulley from the shaft. This can be tricky. The best tool to use is a 3 armed puller, if you do not have one of these you can try and work it off using a crowbar or a flathead screwdriver.

Finally repeat the process in reverse to install the new motor.
